We had lots of storms today in the Midwest, but now the sun's out and it finally feels like Summer!
A new Japanese import floral skirt today! We've finally gotten word that the chocolate colored gingham fabric we've had on backorder will be in, although probably not for a few more weeks. We're very excited to make a sophisticated jumperskirt out of that :) Don't forget to remind us if you need items by a specific date so we can confirm whether or not we can ship them in time.

Today we have a new kind of skirt - it has an option to be worn as a stand-alone skirt, or be drawn up in the back in a bustle silhouette to be worn as an overskirt! Let us know if you might be interested in a white version of this skirt - we have the overlay lace fabric in white as well, and we could offer that soon :)

Today there is a new rose pink jumperskirt with ivory accents and a tiered bustle panel in back. Next week, we promise at least one new overskirt and also a new black/black skirt with some lovely new lace. If you've been hoping we'll have a particular item again, remember that the best way is to e-mail us and let us know! If we can make more, we most likely will :)
Also remember to order items in advance that you will need for conventions and special occasions. We normally ship items about a week after they are ordered, so leaving at least two weeks before you need an item is best - (and if you're not sure, you can of course always ask!)

This has been a busy week, but we'll be having some new items next week (fingers crossed). Some new designs this week! We have a riding hood skirt, another Japanese print with cakes and desserts, a floral overskirt, and a cherry and gingham print dress! Mostly sweet stuff, as we're thinking spring this week :) Next week, we will have a blue Alice print skirt, and who knows what else?
This week we also have a new gallery with pictures of some of the skirts we have offered in the past. (see the "Past Items" button on the left.) More pictures will be added next week, as well galleries of other items like blouses and dresses.

We added an ivory version of our bustle skirt this week -- we ran out of time to make matching overskirts that coordinate well with ivory, but we'll have some more next week :). We also added a new black/white gingham jumperskirt this week. We're working on galleries of past items in each category so that you can browse styles and suggest what you might like to see again or make new suggestions - those are almost done and should be up next week. We're expecting a ton of fabric in this week (something like 150 yards) so we'll definitely be having some new items next week, including the long-awaited Japanese prints. One is a red-riding hood print, so we'll be having some more matching dark red capelets as well!

We two new types of skirts for Valentine's day this week - the one with roses and a red bustle back won't be appearing again, so if you're interested, get one now! Next week, we will for sure have a new jumperskirt style (navy with white sailor style). We'll also debut a new style of bloomers which will feature English netting and venice laces - they will be available in white and ivory lace custom made to order like our other bloomers. Leah, unforunately, spent the holiday delirious with flu, so not as many new designs this week as we'd hoped, but we did bring back some previous designs that haven't seen the light for awhile :)
We should be coming out with a lovely new style of bloomers soon (hopefully next week) and a new jumperskirt and blouse design are in the works as well. During the next couple of weeks, we'll also be breaking out some sweet fabrics for Valentine's themed items, so check back!

The deadline for ordering things to arrive in time for Christmas is officially past. If you would like to order any items for Christmas presents, they will likely arrive after Christmas, but if you let us know, we can make a printable announcement sheet for you with a picture and a message from us to let the person know what they will be receiving. Please remember that since the items are custom made, we can't accept returns, so make sure you get something they really want! :)

We've been so busy with the holiday rush that we haven't had time for many brand-new styles, but we are working on some that will be appearing in the next few weeks, including a new floral import from Japan and hopefully a new blouse style.

Because the holidays are so quickly approaching, we added almost all custom sized items this week for your last-minute shopping convenience :) Please place your order ASAP for delivery by Christmas. The absolute cut-off for items to be delivered (within the US) by Christmas is this coming Thursday the 18th. Any international orders placed at this point will most likely arrive after Christmas, especially because customs tend to get backed up during the holidays.

Christmas is coming! Please remind anyone who might be gift shopping for you that many of our items are one of a kind and may sell out quickly. Domestic orders should be placed by December 18th for Christmas arrival, and International orders should be placed as quickly as possible since transit time is not guaranteed for regular airmail.

It's Leah's birthday -- hurray! Maybe we'll celebrate by making a couple of cake headdresses for next week :) We'll also probably by trying some circular headdresses, and who knows what else? By popular request, we have some grey fabric on order, so in a couple of weeks we should be having some grey with black lace items. Also, we think we've finally found a nice "alice" blue, so that should be appearing in a few weeks as well.

We weren't able to finish as many products as we wanted to this week -- our grandmother passed away and we spent a lot of time with family. She was a seamstress and fashion plate in her day and a big inspiration for us! :)
